FKIP – Building Engineering Education Study Program (PTB) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a workshop on Improving the Instructional Skills of Vocational Lecturers and Teachers with the theme “Integration of Case Methods and Team-Based-Project in RPS/RPP”. The activity took place in a hybrid manner in the Meeting Room of Building A Building Engineering Education Campus V FKIP UNS and online through the Zoom Meeting on Wednesday (22/6/2022).
This activity aims to improve the skills of lecturers and vocational teachers in the instructional field, especially the skills of preparing lesson plans by integrating case methods and team-based-project learning.
This activity presents Dr. Wagiran, M.Pd., a learning and curriculum expert from Yogyakarta State University (UNY), as a resource person for this activity.
“The ‘Workshop on Improving Instructional Skills for Vocational Lecturers and Teachers’ brought learning and curriculum experts from UNY as resource persons and was attended by 15 vocational teachers,” explained Abdul Haris Setiawan, S. Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D. , as chairman of the committee for this workshop.

Next, the Head of Study Program (Kaprodi) PTB FKIP UNS, Dr. Roemintoyo, M.Pd. He expressed the hope that this activity would be beneficial for all lecturers and vocational teachers.
“We hope that this workshop can improve learning skills for all lecturers and teachers of SMK in Solo Raya, especially in the skills of preparing lesson plans through the integration of case methods and team based projects,” said Dr. Roemintoyo.
The workshop activities to improve the instructional skills of lecturers and vocational teachers are expected to encourage university programs to achieve collaborative and participatory learning key performance indicators (IKU) 7.
“We hope that with this workshop we can apply and realize the learning methods, so that we can all produce graduates who have superior quality, skilled, and competent abilities,” said Prof. Slamet as Deputy Dean I FKIP UNS in his speech.

The next event was a workshop on improving the instructional skills of lecturers and vocational teachers entitled “Integration of Case Methods and Team-Based-Project in RPS/RPP”.
“Learning case method and team based project is learning by applying HOT (High Order Thinking). This activity accommodates Bloom’s taxonomy work system. The implementation of this activity can be achieved through contextual problem analysis activities and then evaluating alternative solutions to the problem, “explained Dr. Wagiran.
The application of this learning must be supported by learning designs that are in accordance with the courses and subjects. It is hoped that this activity can provide the key to success in designing the RPP/RPS through the correct formulation of CPMK and sub-CPMK so that learning can run dynamically.
