FKIP – Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program Student Association (HMP) ( Compression) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a Social Service and Compression Entrepreneurship Seminar UNS 2022 on Saturday (16/7/2022).

This social service and entrepreneurship seminar is one of the annual work programs of the UNS Compression Public Relations department. This activity is in collaboration with the Laskar Sedekah Institute and the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) UNS.

This activity was carried out in Jogoprayan Village,gantiwarno, Klaten. In its implementation, the UNS Compression HMP distributed 40 food packages and held a seminar with the theme “Socialization of SMEs to Build Today’s Economy”. The socialization brought speakers from among students.

Interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team, Tabah Muhamad Hadri as the chief executive explained the purpose of this activity.

“First, implementing work programs. Second, helping others in lightening the economic burden. Third, instilling a spirit of social concern. Fourth, providing and sharing entrepreneurial knowledge to the community. Fifth, as a form of concern for people affected by COVID-19,” Tabah explained. Wednesday (27/7/2022).

Next, Tabah said that the program received a good response from the community where it was implemented, namely residents of Jogoprayan Village, Replacewarno District, Klaten.

“The impression from the participants of the social service and entrepreneurship seminar of Compression UNS 2022 was very happy and felt helped by the holding of activities from the Study Program Student Association. This Mechanical Engineering Education is because this is the first time this activity has been held in Jogoprayan Village,gantiwarno, Klaten,” said Tabah.

In the end, Tabah expressed his hope for the implementation of this activity.

“We hope that by holding this Social Service and Entrepreneurship Seminar, it can help the economy of the Jogoprayan community and can boost and advance MSMEs, especially in the village,” concluded Tabah.
