FKIP – Student Activity Unit (UKM) Islamic Activity Center (SKI) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held Shahabiyah series 1 online via Zoom Meeting on Friday (22/7/2022).

This activity carries the theme “The Best of Women: Khadijah bint Khuwaylid Radhiyallahu’anha” with Ustazah Asri Istiqomah as the motivational trainer and author of the novel Saranghaja! Let’s Love!

At the beginning of the presentation, Ustazah Asri conveyed the profile of Khadijah Al Kubro.

“His lineage is Khadijah bint Khuwailid bin Asad bin Abdul Uzza bin Qushay al-Quraishiah al-Asadiyah. He is from the Quraysh tribe, just like the Prophet Muhammad SAW,” said Ustazah Asri.

Ustazah Asri also explained that before being with the Prophet, Khadijah was a wealthy merchant who worked with men in the import-export business outside of Mecca and had the character of a beautiful, rich, and noble woman so that she was popular among the men of Mecca. Then, also explained the journey of Khadijah married to the Prophet.

Next, Ustazah Asri explained the virtues of Khadijah.
“One, Khadija was the first person to believe in the Prophet. Two, during his life with the Prophet, he had 6 children who would later be descendants of the Prophet until the end of time through the lineage of Khadijah. Three, willing to sacrifice all property for the benefit of the Prophet’s da’wah. Four, a strong woman, established, respectable, but extremely obedient to her husband. Five, the wife who was most loved by the Prophet,” said Ustazah Asri.

Furthermore, Ustazah Asri conveyed Khadijah’s character that must be imitated, including being strong, independent, independent, intelligent, maintaining honor, obedient to Allah and the Messenger of Allah, being obedient and very supportive of her husband, and a mother who is responsible for educating children.

The activity ended with a question and answer session and a closing statement from the speaker.

“Women need to be independent. We need to be honorable, so our honor is guarded. On the other hand, we must obey Allah and His Messenger,” concluded Ustazah Asri.
