FKIP – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held an offline introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at Building F FKIP, Building G FKIP, and Student Center Building on Sunday (14/8/2022).
The Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) is an annual activity to introduce the campus environment to new students. This year, PKKMB FKIP UNS carries the theme “Forming a Generation of National Educators with Scholarly Character and Archipelago Culture”.
Abdul Haris Setiawan, Ph.D., the chief executive of PKKMB FKIP UNS submitted a report on this occasion.
“The total number of new FKIP UNS students recorded so far is 2,397 students. We all from the faculty leadership, study program leaders, and academicians welcome to the FKIP UNS campus. Happy learning!” said Abdul.
Next, in this activity, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., the Dean of FKIP UNS gave a speech.
“We, on behalf of the faculty leadership and behalf of ourselves, congratulate the new students who have succeeded in becoming UNS students. On average, students who take part in the UNS entrance selection can beat 16 other candidates because of the tightness of entering UNS 1:16, so those who enter are students who have very high and superior competencies,” said Dr. Mardiyana.
In his speech, Dr. Mardiyana also officially opened this PKKMB activity.
“By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim the PKKMB FKIP UNS activity for the 2022-2023 academic year today, Sunday, August 14, 2022, I officially declare it opened,” said Dr. Mardiyana.
Then, the PKKMB activity was continued with the symbolic handover of new students by the Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., to each head of the study program.
