FKIP – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta received a visit or benchmarking from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Halu Oleo University (UHO) from Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, in the context of consultation and coordination related to the development of International Accreditation. The activity took place in the courtroom I of the Soemarno Building of FKIP UNS on Thursday (4/8/2022).

The visiting group from FKIP Halu Oleo University (UHO) included the Dean, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Head of the Department of Biology Education, and Head of the Department of Mathematics Education FKIP UHO. In addition, visits or benchmarking at FKIP UNS were also received directly by all FKIP UNS Leaders consisting of the Dean, Deputy Deans, Heads of Administration, Academic Sub-Coordinators, Non-Academic Sub-Coordinators, Heads of Mathematics Education Study Programs, Heads of Biology Education Study Programs, Heads of Quality Assurance Units (UPM) faculties, and lecturers from Mathematics Education and Biology Education FKIP UNS.

This activity took place in discussions or sharing sessions between FKIP UHO and FKIP UNS led directly by Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si., as Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKIP UNS by discussing the preparation or steps of International Accreditation in the Mathematics Education and Biology Education Study Program of FKIP UHO.

Dr. Maridyana, M.Si., as the Dean of FKIP UNS in his speech, conveyed the information in FKIP UNS and several Study Programs (Prodi) that have been accredited as superior and internationally accredited.

“At FKIP UNS, there are 48 Study Programs in which there are 25 Undergraduate Study Programs, 17 Masters Study Programs, 5 Doctoral Study Programs and 1 Teacher Professional Education Study Program (PPG) in which there are 24 Fields of Study, of the many study programs at FKIP UNS there are Internationally accredited Study Programs, especially in undergraduate study programs, namely the internationally accredited Indonesian Education (FIBAA) study program, Internationally accredited Biology Education (ASIIN), Internationally accredited Chemistry Education (ASIIN), Internationally accredited Mechanical Engineering Education (ASIIN), Internationally accredited Extraordinary Education (AUN-QA), Internationally accredited Economic Education (FIBAA), and for others have been accredited Superior and Accredited A and in the process for applying for international accreditation where in 2023 it is expected that all undergraduate study programs can be already all internationally accredited,” added Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si.,.

Furthermore, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si., on the occasion of the closing remarks added that at FKIP UNS itself there is a Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) of the Faculty and the Quality Control Group which has the task of preparing and being responsible for accreditation within the FKIP UNS.

“At FKIP UNS, there is a Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) at the faculty level and a Quality Control Group (GKM), in each study program that is in charge and responsible for preparing all forms of needs or instruments needed in every accreditation, both international accreditation and national accreditation with the help of an accreditation preparation team by the study program, and for the level of university quality assurance at UNS there is AN LPPM”, added Dr. Mardiyana.M.Si.,.

The Dean of FKIP UHO, Dr. H. Jamiludin, M.Hum., in his remarks expressed his gratitude for the remarks of FKIP UNS and visiting activities in the context of consultation and coordination related to International Accreditation can provide enlightenment and benefits for FKIP UHO in preparing and so on for International Accreditation so that in facing or implementing International Accreditation can run easily, smoothly and successfully without obstacles and get results by those Expected.

“We also added that on this occasion we can discuss programs or forms of activities in each study program, both Biology Education and Mathematics Education so that it is also expected that a form of cooperation can be carried out between FKIP UHO and FKIP UNS and cooperation at the study program level,” added Dr. Jamiludin, M.Hum.,

The event continued with discussions with each Biology Education and Mathematics Education study program, both FKIP UHO with FKIP UNS and with the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) FKIP UNS.
