FKIP – A total of 12 students from Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta and Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) collaborated to build the ‘Precision Peanut Village Data’ through Real Work Lectures (KKN) of the UNS-IPB partnership. The student is guided by Dr. Ike Nurjuita Nayasilana, S.Si., M.Sc. as Field Supervisor (DPL) from UNS and Ahmad Aulia Arsyad, S.KPm., M.Sc. as DPL from IPB. Community service activities have been carried out since Monday (4/7/2022) – Thursday (18/8/2022) in Kacangan Village, Sumberlawang District, Sragen Regency. The theme of this partnership KKN is Precision Village Data (DDP).
DDP is a village data improvement program based on Participatory Drone Mapping. For the first time, this program is realized in the form of KKN, so this DDP KKN is a new KKN activity. The implementation of this activity uses drone-based technology to produce aerial photos of Kacangan Village. The photos are then compiled using the Argisoft application.
Sofyan Sjaf, as the originator of DDP, explained that the KKN group was divided into two teams, namely the spatial team and the social team. The spatial team carried out mapping using high-resolution drones, tracking village boundaries, and infrastructure in the village of Kacangan. The resulting data is used for making base maps, thematic maps, and map interpretations.
Friska Arum Wianingdyah, a student from the spatial team, explained that the data of Kacangan Village did not match the actual conditions. This means that the existing village data is not yet precise. The DDP KKN program helps refine village data into precision. Spatial data retrieval was carried out from the results of taking drone photos in Kacangan Village.
“Through the Participatory Drone Mapping approach, village data will be better in terms of quality and reality. I am very grateful for the support provided by the Kacangan Village Government and the village community during the data collection process,” said Friska to the fkip.uns.ac.id team.

Agung Prastyo, a student of the Physics Education Study Program (Prodi) of FKIP UNS who became the social team of this KKN group, explained that the census conducted by the enumerators produced precise numerical data. Meanwhile, village qualitative FGDs produced analytical data. The object of data collection is the entire community of Kacangan village. While the objects of analytic data collection are village officials and village community leaders.
“The data collected is in the form of family identity, education, environment, socio-cultural life, law, daily needs, and data related to the work profession. In addition, we also collect qualitative data such as historical plots, venn diagrams of the influence and interaction of village government with communities, problem trees, and seasonal calendars. Census data collection is carried out based on building points or digitized in a work map that has been produced by the spatial team. The census data is then entered in the Merdesa application,” said Agung.
The Head of Kacangan Village, Ladiyo, was happy with the KKN DDP program in Kacangan Village. This program is very helpful for villages in improving technology-based data so as to produce precise village data. The data can be used by the village for the welfare of the community, in accordance with the standards of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“SDGs or ‘sustainable development goals’ are the welfare standards of the international community. Precise village data strongly supports the SDGs because they are able to meet several aspects of welfare standards. We thank group 2 of the UNS-IPB DDP KKN who have served to build this precise village data. We monitor the Instagram account of the @lifeatnut KKN group and appreciate the maximum performance of students in building precision Kacangan Village data. Through precision village data, all forms of village policies are expected to be more effective and on target,” concluded Ladiyo.
