FKIP – Agnes Dinar Nugraheni, Student of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta participated in the 77th Independence Day ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2022.

She joined the Gita Bahana Nusantara choir team which enlivened the independence day ceremony at the State Palace. On that occasion, Agnes sang with the type of voice Alto.

Interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team, Agnes told her story of being a part of Gita Bahana Nusantara. “In 2021, I auditioned for the Gita Bahana Nusantara choir at the Central Java Province level, on June 10, 2021, at the Central Java Education and Culture Office. There are 2 stages, namely preliminary and final. At the preliminary stage, 3 people from each type of vote were chosen to compete for the 1st place winner who will represent the GBN at the national level,” said Agnes on Thursday (25/8/2022).

At the selection stage, Agnes won 1st place so she was entitled to represent Gita Bahana Nusantara at the national level.

“It’s amazing, I still can’t believe it. Very proud to be a part of GBN 2022, it feels like a dream but it’s real,” said Agnes.

In addition, Agnes also shared her experience of practicing with Vidi Aldiano for a collaborative performance at the entertainment session during the independence ceremony.

“During the training, there was Vidi Aldiano because he would collaborate with GBN. So, we had a chance to meet Vidi Aldiano. While at Wisma Kinasih, Vidi Aldiano also came there,” said Agnes.

Agnes also told about the preparations for the independence day ceremony which required them to get up at 23:00 to start dressing up because the Gita Bahana Nusantara choir participants wore regional clothes.

Then, Agnes also said that she had the opportunity to sing again with the Gita Bahana Nusantara choir at the Commemoration of Constitution Day on August 18, 2022, at the MPR Building.

When interviewed, Agnes shared her experiences and lessons learned.

“There are many lessons to be learned. In terms of singing, so I know more about good and correct singing techniques. Gaining unforgettable experiences and getting to know many friends from various provinces, getting to know their local language, and practicing to be a more disciplined person,” said Agnes.
