HUMAS FKIP – Friday (7/10/2022) The Coordinator of Research Development and Community Service of the Faculty (KPPMF) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret held a webinar series 3 online via Zoom Meeting. The theme of this session is “Strategies for Building Partnerships in Research and Community Service”.
This webinar presented two speakers, namely Acep Purqon, M.Sc., Ph.D. as a lecturer at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Dr. Nur Arifah Drajati, M.Pd. as a lecturer at UNS.
Moderated by Yosafat Hermawan Trinugraha, S.Sos., MA., Ph.D. as a lecturer in Sociology and Anthropology Education at UNS, Acep explained the material with the title “Strategies for Building Partnerships in Research, Teaching, and Community Service”.
“Collaboration is key. If we want to make a great work, then multidisciplinary knowledge is the key,” explained Acep.
Acep explained that the 2022 partnership scheme leads to green physics that supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He also shared his experience in building partnerships in the fields of research, teaching, and community service.

“In the field of research, there is a 2.7 billion BRIN Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). In the field of teaching, there are 200 million ISS-MBKM Teaching Assistance, 200 million Green Economy Startup Entrepreneurship, and 90 million International Virtual Courses. In the field of community service, there are 200 million fish cultivation technologies. Then, in the field of innovation, there are Kedaireka Salmon Center, Green Economy Blue Economy of 3 billion,” he explained.
Then, Acep explained that the research that had been done could be passed down to various fields so that it could provide wider benefits.
Next, Dr. Nur Arifah Drajati, M.Pd. explained the material entitled “Strategy for P2M Cooperation”.
There are two types of partnerships. First, traditional partnerships. Second, strategic partnerships. Traditional partnerships are more vulnerable than strategic partnerships. But strategic partnerships are also vulnerable if there is no one to handle them,” explained Dr. Arifah.
Dr. Arifah explained that the motivation for establishing a partnership was explained into 7 points. Furthermore, Dr. Arifah explained about visionary framing.
“Framing first, Focus on future possibilities. Second, partners are very important in creating a picture of the future in the organization. Third, campuses know how partnerships contribute to campus goals or objectives,” he explained.
According to Dr. Arifah, of course there are challenges in establishing partnerships, including communication and cultural differences.
Dr. Arifah also shared his impressions based on his experience in establishing partnerships.
“It’s nice to have many friends, give each other benefits, enjoy the process, and continue to learn to work and share,” concluded Dr. Arifah.
The webinar ended with a question and answer session and discussion with the two speakers.
