FKIP – Student Activity Unit Islamic Activity Center (SKI) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held General Study 2 offline in the Hall of Campus VI PGSD FKIP Kebumen on Saturday (26/11/2022).
The study was opened with remarks by representatives of PGSD Kebumen lecturers, namely Drs. Joharman, M.Pd. This study carries the theme “Creating Intelligent Millennial Generation by Imitating the Morals of the Prophet Muhammad”. Ustaz Mukhamad Ma’muri, M.Pd., was present as a resource person in this study.
In his presentation, Ustaz Mukhamad explained that educating the millennial generation has its challenges and is different from the previous era.
“I am the millennial generation and currently I teach at a vocational school. When friends become teachers, the challenges will be more complex. Quick response characteristic of the Prophet’s mind, first trust. The two fates. Three, be humble,” he said.
Ustaz Mukhamad also advised the study participants to get used to shaking hands using the right hand followed by the left hand holding the shoulder or head.
“The delinquency of my old high school kid back in 2009, could be done by junior high school kids now. Then, the delinquency of junior high school students in the past could be carried out by today’s elementary school children,” he said.
Ustaz Mukhamad emphasized that the Prophet Muhammad was a human being across generations, and across nature, and was always number 1 in the world and the hereafter.
“Teachers are looked up to and imitated. The progress of the Indonesian nation depends on its teachers. We will teach, so we must learn because later on what is taught there will be accountability,” he concluded.
The study ended with a question-and-answer session for 1 term with 3 questions.
