FKIP – Student Activity Unit (UKM) Islamic Activity Center (SKI) Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held an SKI Festival which took place at Campus IV Kebumen. This activity carried the theme “Berlintang: Sharing Kindness, Establishing Brotherhood, Raising Peace Poems”.

There are three series of activities in the Gebyar SKI activities, namely donations for orphans, grand studies, and PGSD giving prayers.

Charity activities for orphans were held at the Putra Mandiri Foundation Orphanage on Sunday (23/10/2022). Next, a grand study and PGSD praying were carried out in the courtyard of the FKIP PGSD Kebumen campus on Saturday (29/10/2022).

This activity was attended by PGSD Muslim students from the Kebumen campus, lecturers and staff, and the community.

The implementation of this activity aims to increase piety, distribute compensation, and strengthen ukhuwah Islamiah. This was conveyed by Firman Wahyu Farudin as the chief executive.

“The purpose of this activity is to increase piety before Allah ta’ala, distribute donations to orphans, and strengthen ukhuwah Islamiah among residents of the PGSD Kebumen campus,” he explained when contacted by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Saturday (26/11/2022) .

Firman said that this activity was carried out and the participants had exceeded the target set at the beginning.

“Alhamdulillah, it exceeded the set target. The target of the committee is around 250 participants. Alhamdulillah unexpectedly, the total participants who participated reached 450 participants. This exceeded our expectations,” he said.

Firman hopes that the implementation of this activity can strengthen friendship.

“Thanks be to God Almighty, without any big obstacles, the SKI Celebration event can be carried out smoothly and safely. For the hope of this activity, both from the outside community and students, of course, can strengthen friendship ties and be maintained in the future. Hopefully the next year’s SKI Festival will be more successful and more lively,” he concluded.
