FKIP – Study Program ( Study Program of Fine Arts Education (PSR) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a creative workshop “Product Branding, Fashion Painting, Photography and Product Video” offline in Room 3 Campus 2 UNS Ngoresan. This workshop was held to discuss the Opportunities and Challenges of the Creative Leap Profile of PSR FKIP UNS Study Program.

PSR Study Program FKIP UNS has a profile of a creative leap in the form of a business startup called Naide Fashion. Naide Fashion was pioneered by FKIP UNS PSR Study Program students in the UNS Creative Leap Program. The business, which was founded on September 1, 2021, is engaged in the field of clothing and textile crafts. This business is based in Surakarta City or more precisely in Campus 2 UNS Ngoresan with workers from direct business actors.

This workshop is packaged in 2 sessions. The first session was held on Saturday (19/11/2022). Moderated by Figure Rachman Fuad, S.Pd., MA as a Lecturer in PSR Study Program FKIP UNS, this workshop presented 3 speakers. The first resource person was Arizka Priyantoro, S.Pd. He is an Alumnus of the PSR FKIP UNS Study Program and the Owner of the Rockercrown Store. He explained material regarding the importance of trademark registration.

“Brand registration is very easy, everything is on the internet, we only need to do it. Don’t delay because we will get the benefits after we register our brand name and make sure to use a unique name. In setting up a business, we must be ambitious but not ambitious,” explained Arizka.

The second resource person is Tiana Fitrica, S.Pd. who is an Alumnus of the PSR Study Program FKIP UNS and Owner of Thankful Artwork Custom Painting. He explained the material regarding the importance of selecting materials according to the trend development. He emphasized that entrepreneurs must be smart about outsmarting the high price of materials by making or creating their product materials and not relying on more expensive product materials.

Meanwhile, the third resource person in the session 1 workshop was Afrik Grafita Setiawan, S.Pd. He is an Alumnus of the PSR FKIP UNS Study Program and a Digital Marketing Consultant. In his presentation, he explained how to optimize social media as a promotional medium. He believes that uploading content on social media should not only focus on promotional matters but should be interesting and emotionally close to customers.

The session 2 workshops were held on Saturday (26/11/2022). With the same moderator in session 1, this workshop also presented 3 speakers. The first resource person was Dian Nugroho, S.Pd. He is an Alumnus of the PSR FKIP UNS Study Program and the owner of the Kalimasada Batik Business. He explained the material regarding product photos as a marketing medium as well as traveling. According to him, one of the clever ways to find customers is to tour cultural areas using their products while choosing these tourist spots as product photo spots.

The second resource person is Ana Wahyudi, S.Pd. who is an Alumnus of the PSR Study Program FKIP UNS and Business Owner of Cindelaras Art Education. On this occasion, he shared his experience using the services of his friends as brand ambassadors. He said that marketing was carried out by Cindelaras Art Education by asking for help from his relations as brand ambassadors.

The last resource person was Ima Sri Agustiningsih, S.Pd. He is an alumnus of the PSR Study Program FKIP UNS and the owner of the Imaku Custom Painting Business. He explained the importance of resilience in business. He emphasized that in starting a business, there will be some obstacles. Toughness and tenacity are needed to overcome this.

“In starting a business there are always obstacles that must be faced. Tenacity in entrepreneurship is needed. We must have patience and toughness in doing business. There are many obstacles in the field that must be faced with fortitude,” said Ima.
