FKIP – Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas March (UNS) Surakarta held a FKIP Family Arts and Creativity Performance to Commemorate Heroes’ Day on Friday (11/12/2022). This activity was carried out offline in the Hall of Building F FKIP UNS and broadcast live on Semar TV’s YouTube account.

This activity was attended by the Dean of FKIP UNS and his staff, Chair and Secretary of the Senate of FKIP UNS, Academic, Non-Academic and Administrative Coordinators of FKIP UNS, Heads of Study Programs for Undergraduate (S-1), Masters(S-2), and Doctoral (S-3) FKIP UNS, as well as FKIP UNS Education Personnel. Also present were FKIP UNS Student Organization Supervisor Lecturers, the FKIP UNS Student Unit Team, and the Head of the FKIP UNS Student Association.

Guided by Muhammad Hilmi Sabitul Azmi from Office Administration Education (PAP) and Faris Salsabila from Chemistry Education, about 10 art activists from the UNS FKIP family participated in presenting an art presentation. The first performer is the Keroncong Study Program (Prodi) of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) FKIP UNS. They opened the art performance by singing 5 song titles, namely Jembatan Merah, Kebo Giro, A Pair of Ball Eyes, Suwe Ora Jamu, Autumn Mountain, and Mawar Biru. They also performed the song series Melati.

The second performer was the Karawitan Team from the Regional Arts Development Unit (UPKD) FKIP UNS. They performed 3 song titles, namely Mars, Praon, and Meh Rahina. The third performer is Julia Dwi Puspita who is a student of the Kebumen FKIP UNS Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (Prodi). On the occasion, he sang a song titled, namely Indonesia Jaya.

The fourth performance was a single-organ performance by 2 students of the Special Education Study Program (PLB), namely Prasetyo Nugroho and Frema Maresta Aulia. They sing 2 title songs. The two songs are Are You Ready to Fall in Love Again and Symphony Indah. Then, the fifth performer was the UPKD FKIP UNS Dance Team who performed the Gambyong Pareanom Dance.

The sixth performance is a performance of art by students of Fine Arts Education (PSR) entitled Amorhati. The next performance was a keroncong music performance by the Surakarta PGSD Keroncong Team with the Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., with the title song Bengawan Solo. The performance was continued by the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Dance Team (PG PAUD) FKIP UNS who performed the Dolanan Kukusan Dance and the Vox Magistra Choir Team. Then, there was also a vocal performance, by Ziva Valentina, a student of the English Education Study Program with the song Hero.

The next performance was the performance of the FKIP UNS Keroncong Team. In this performance they collaborated with Dr. Djono, M.Pd. who is the Deputy Dean for Planning, Cooperation, Business FKIP UNS to perform the Gethuk song. They also collaborated with Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Sc. as Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKIP UNS to perform the song, Ngidham Sari.

In his remarks, the Dean of FKIP UNS Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc. expressed gratitude for the implementation of this art performance. He hopes this activity can be a place to express art and establish friendships.

“Alhamdulillah, tonight we can carry out a live art performance from the FKIP UNS family, both lecturers, education staff, and students. FKIP UNS itself has many arts and arts activists in each study program, such as keroncong, karawitan, dance, theatre, sound arts, and others. The hope is that this art performance can become a place to express art within FKIP UNS and establish friendships,” hoped Dr. Mardiyana.

The FKIP UNS Family Art Performance Show was closed with the appearance of the OK Keroncong Team, Gema PGSD Surakarta, with the title song Klebus and Intimacy.
