Students of Sociology Anthropology Education FKIP UNS Perform Community Service in Anggrasmanis Village, Karanganyar

FKIP – Sociology Anthropology Education Student Association (Himadiksan) Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta carried out community service activities in Anggrasmanis Village, Jenawi, Karanganyar. The activity entitled “Serve the Village Partners” is held once a month.

Service activities are carried out in the form of teaching activities for elementary school children, children’s games, crafts, and competitions. When interviewed by the team fkip.uns.ac.id, explained that this activity is expected to create stability and equality in the quality of education.

“The expected target of this activity is to create stability and equality in the quality of education. This is due to the geographical position of Anggrasmanis Village which is far from the city center and has minimal educational infrastructure so there is a difference in the quality of education. Through community service, we hope to be able to implement one of the tri-dharma contents of higher education, namely community service through teaching and education. Apart from that, this activity is also expected to increase the sense of empathy and sympathy of Himadiksan management towards the community and strengthen relations with the community,” explained Hamdha.

Hamdha, the Himadiksan administrator, conveyed his impression of participating in this activity that he was very happy and happy.

“The impression from this partner village service is that we are happy because we can share knowledge with the children in the village by giving them joy. This teaching activity also aims to make them reduce the use of gadgets and further improve their skills and add new experiences for children in Anggrasmanis village, “continued Hamdha.

At the end of the interview, Hamdha also expressed his hopes for the implementation of this community service.

“Hopefully the community service in Anggrasmanis village will continue, especially in teaching the children there. Then, study programs and UNS can pay more attention to associations, especially in the social field which has partner villages so that this activity can be accompanied and given further direction,” he concluded.
