FKIP – A student from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta succeeded in making an achievement in the National Poster Competition at the 2021 Public Health Day event entitled “Culture”. The competition was held by the Student Association of the Public Health Department of Esa Unggul University (HMJ Kesmas UEU). Coming from the Science Education Study Program, this student named Fatimah Nur Azizah managed to win 3rd place.

The 2021 Public Health Day event, the culmination of which was held through a Zoom Meeting on Saturday (14/8/2021), consisted of several series of events held from Sunday (18/7/2021). The series of events were Mendeley Workshop, Poster Contest, Essay Contest, Public Health Video Contest, Photography Contest, Career Talkshow, Class Competition, and National Online Seminar.

With the provision of the theme “The Role of Society in Maintaining Indonesian Culture during the Pandemic”, Fatimah carried a poster titled “Masker Go!” (Society of Cooperation and Mutual Cooperation in Protecting Indonesian Culture to Fight the Covid-19 Pandemic).

She hopes that the poster can knock people’s hearts to work together and work together in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, she also hopes that the public can obey health protocols and continue to preserve culture during the pandemic.

“Hopefully, this poster can invite all levels of society to work together and work together in the face of Covid-19 and continue to preserve culture even though it is limited. People can wear batik-patterned masks, take part in Indonesian cultural webinars, disseminate information about our culture on social media, following the trend of their respective regional customs, using regional languages, and using regional special attributes when doing online activities to preserve culture during the pandemic. I also hope, with this poster, that people will become more united and solid in obeying the government’s advice so that the pandemic will be the immediate end,” said Fatimah.

In the future, she wants to continue to provide benefits to the surrounding environment and continue to excel by channeling ideas and ideas through work in digital form.
