FKIP – Deputy Dean 1 for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held socialization of the technical explanation of Siakad and the Merdeka Learning-Independent Campus (MBKM) program by the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) Information and Communication Technology (ICT) UNS. The participants who attended this activity were the Head of the Study Program, lecturers, educational staff, namely the program study admin, the Study Program recognition team, and student representatives from the Study Program Student Association (HMP). This event was held online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting on Thursday (26/8/2021).
The socialization activity was opened by Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si. as Deputy Dean 1 of FKIP UNS. He revealed that this activity was held in order to bring together the IT Team, Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM), and various parties to discuss together the technical problems faced during the MBKM program. Next, there was a speech by Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS.

The first presentation of the material was delivered by Budi Legowo, S.Si., M.Si. as the UNS MBKM Coordinator. Budi started his presentation by telling facts and field conditions where the current study program must be able to perform such as playing a circus because the MBKM program still has various obstacles. He also explained the process for submitting MBKM activities and the recognition system that can be applied by each study program.

Next, the second speaker was Winarno, S.Si., M.Eng. from the UPT TIK UNS who explained technically the course offerings for inbound and outbound students through the Siakad system. He explained in a coherent and systematic way the process of offering courses for the MBKM system, both the student exchange program and the non-student exchange program. Winarno also advised that the Prodi operators who manage the MBKM submission and bidding system are people who already understand exactly what the Study Program curriculum looks like because this is related to the schedule and course code so that it is hoped that there will be no problems in managing the academic system at Siakad.

The socialization activity ended with a question and answer session and Dr. Emmy Latifah, S.H., M.H. from the UNS MBKM Development Center.
“The principle of recognition is the right of each study program and I hope that each study program can formulate MBKM activities so that they can be recognized with maximum credits so that the number two KPI (Key Performance Indicator) can be achieved according to the target,” he concluded.
