FKIP – The English Student Association (ESA) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a webinar with the theme “Study Abroad: Why Not?” on Saturday (18/12/2021).
This webinar was one of the activities summarized in the work program of the ESA secretariat division which has the aim of broadening the horizons and increasing the knowledge, and skills of students of the English Education Study Program (Prodi) regarding studying abroad.
The activity takes place online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application. There were discussion sessions besides sharing which students usually need according to the times. This webinar activity was intended for all students of the English Language Education Study Program, FKIP UNS. Each batch in the English Education Study Program attended this webinar, starting from the 2019 to 2021 class.
This webinar presents speakers who were relevant to the theme being carried. The speaker who was presented was Prista Kusumaningtyas, S.Sc., who was a recipient of a scholarship from the University College London (UCL) Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP). In addition, there was Penta Kusuma Dewi who is a student exchange participant in the Department of English Education in Malaysia.
With this webinar Study Abroad: Why Not?, the organizer hopes that participants who take part in the activity can gain knowledge and insight regarding things that are currently considered important in seeking scholarships abroad.
