Moderated by Dr. Arifah, this seminar presents a resource person. The resource person is Prof. Rhenald Kasali, Ph.D. He is a professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia (FE UI) and the founder of the House of Change.
In his presentation, Prof. Rhenald explained the material titled “Shifting Education in Indonesia”. In the material, he explained the description of the era of disruption and its impact on life, the issue of school children, the words of toxic at a young age, young effects on the character of young people, the current world, how to make changes, to life skills in the 4.0 era.

Prof. Rhenald explained that the challenge at this time was to make the things learned relevant to the changing times. He also explained the 2 contexts of the causes of changing times.
“Our current challenge is to keep it relevant, so it makes what we learn relevant to the world’s needs today. This relevance is related to the context that occurs thoroughly outside. There are 2 contexts that cause changes, namely demographics and technology. The development of technology then gave birth to disruption, namely innovation that caused old technology not to be used, “explained Prof. Rhenald.
Furthermore, Prof. Rhenald also explained the characteristics of agents of change. According to him, agents of change are people who think they will find a way, find solutions, and come out as inventors or winners.
“What makes the world change is people who think they will find a way, find a solution, and come out as an inventor or winner. Everything starts from the mind. If we believe it will fail, then fail. If you believe wrong, then wrong. What we believe is what we do and what we feel is what we think. So, if our feelings don’t like something, don’t think about it and find the transfer, “explained Prof. Rhenald.
After the presentation of the material, the activity continued with the technical explanation of the writing the book, which was the output of this seminar delivered by Dr. Arifah. Then, the conference ended with a documentation session.
