FKIP — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a Traditional Dress Competition: Guyub Rukun Keluarga FKIP UNS. This event was held offline at the FKIP UNS Postgraduate Building page and online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting and the SEMAR TV Youtube channel on Friday (18/3/2022). This competition was officially opened by the Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si.

This competition is a series of activities to celebrate the 46th Anniversary of UNS. The competition was participated by FKIP leaders, staff, employees, and lecturers from all study programs at FKIP.

Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS directly welcomed this activity. In his remarks, he said that FKIP participated in celebrating the 46th Anniversary of UNS by organizing various activities.

“We organize several activities, specifically at this FKIP. There are blood donor activities, there are meetings for leaders of FKIPs throughout Indonesia, there are training activities for lecturers and student facilitators for children with special needs, as well as academic activities, art activities, sports activities, and other activities,” said Dr. Mardiyana in his speech.

Dr. Mardiyana conveyed the purpose of holding this traditional clothing competition.

“This activity is one of the arts activities that we hold as a vehicle for gathering lecturers, education staff, students, and the entire academic community at FKIP UNS. In addition, this activity aims to explore national culture, we show our varied nationalism. I think we can see together in the race this morning,” explained Dr. Mardiyana.

At the end of his speech, Dr. Mardiyana expressed her hopes for the following year’s Dies Natalis activities.

“Hopefully in the next Dies Natalis activities we can still hold these kinds of activities,” concluded Dr. Mardiyana.
