FKIP – Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta signed a Tri Dharma College cooperation agreement with the Indonesian Education University (UPI) in the Masters Study Program for Teacher and Elementary Education (PGSD). The benchmarking and signing of the collaboration took place in the courtroom I Building A FKIP UNS on Thursday (24/3/2022).
Benchmarking from the Indonesian University of Education (UPI) consists of the Director of UPI Tasikmalaya, Head of the Master’s Degree Study Program PGSD UPI Tasikmalaya, UPI Quality Control, UPI Cibiru, and Tasikmalaya Lecturers, Staff and Students. This activity was also welcomed and attended directly by the Faculty Leaders, the Head of the PGSD Masters Program, the Quality Control Group (GKM), Lecturers, Sub-Coordinators, and other related ranks at FKIP UNS.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., who on this occasion was represented by Prof. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Sc., as the Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs explained that at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS has a working motto with FKIP BAGUS which stands for ACTIVE, Accelerated, Global, Superior, and polite). ACTIVE culture itself is a work culture of UNS which stands for ACTIVE (Achievement Orientation, Customer Satisfaction, Teamwork, Integrity, Visionary and Entrepreneurship). So with this work culture is instilled in all lecturers, education staff, and students to have a GOOD culture in carrying out work and learning.
On the same occasion, Prof. Slamet Subiyantoro also welcomed and thanked the benchmarking team from UPI Cibiru and UPI Tasikmalaya.
“Once again we welcome to FKIP BAGUS, at Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, and we thank all the benchmarking group’s representatives from the Indonesian Education Universities (UPI) Cibiru and Tasikmalaya for their arrival and extend our warm greetings to all of our friends. at UPI who have not been able to attend here,” said Prof. Slamet Subiyantoro.
Furthermore, Prof. Slamet Subiyantoro conveyed that this collaboration is expected to provide benefits and blessings for FKIP UNS and UPI, can learn from each other, be equal, and side by side.
In addition, Prof. Slamet Subiyantoro also explained the introduction of FKIP UNS.
On the occasion of the welcome Prof. Dr. Nandang Rusmana, M.Pd., as the Director of the Indonesian Education University (UPI) Tasikmalaya Campus said that the benchmarking activity or visit and cooperation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education was motivated by the establishment of the Master’s Study Program for Teacher and Elementary Education (PGSD) at the Indonesian Education University. (UPI) in Tasikmalaya and Cibiru.
Furthermore, Prof. Nandang Rusmana also said that this activity was aimed at knowing the governance of the PGSD Masters in FKIP UNS.
“Our joint visit to FKIP UNS aims to find out how the governance for the PGSD Masters Study Program at FKIP UNS, and want to know in more detail how -how because we know that FKIP UNS first established PGSD Masters,” said Prof. Nandang Rusmana.
Prof. Nandang Rusmana also expressed his gratitude for the welcome from FKIP UNS. “We would like to thank FKIP UNS for the extraordinary welcome given to us. Hopefully, this activity can make us a family and can be a benefit for UPI and FKIP UNS, especially in the PGSD master study program,” said Prof. Nandang Rusmana.
The next event was the signing of the Tri Dharma Pendidikan cooperation agreement between FKIP UNS and UPI Cibiru and Tasikmalaya and continued with the presentation of the management of the Master’s Study Program for Teacher and Elementary Education (PGSD) FKIP UNS and a discussion led directly by the Head of the PGSD Masters Study Program Dr. Riyadi, M.Si.
