FKIP – Pre-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Student Batch 1 of 2022 Indonesian Language Education Study Program (PBI) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a Lecture Final Exhibition on Friday (3/2) /2023). This exhibition was held in Room 202 of Building E FKIP UNS.
This exhibition reflects on the implementation of practical field experience (PPL) from 4 groups of PPG Pre-service Batch 1 of 2022 Prodi PBI FKIP UNS. The four groups were the PPL Group for SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta, the PPL Group for SMP Negeri 4 Surakarta, the PPL Group for SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta, and the PPL Group for SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta. This exhibition was also attended by Lecturers of Pre-service PPG Batch 1 of 2022 of the PBI Study Program FKIP UNS and Pre-service PG Students Batch 2 of 2022 and is open to the public.
Contacted by the fkip.uns.ac.id Journalist Team, Natanael Feby Raenaldi as Chair of the Lecture Final Exhibition Committee revealed that the purpose of holding this exhibition was to explain the process of implementing PPL from each group.
“This exhibition is a celebration of the end of semester one lecture for PPG Pre-service Students Batch 1 of 2022 in the PBI FKIP UNS Study Program. But, more than that, this exhibition aims to introduce, explain, and showcase what we got during PPL, what new experiences were there, what were the advantages, and what obstacles were encountered and how efforts were made to overcome them,” said Natanael, Saturday (4 /2/2023).
In this exhibition, each group made an exhibition that described the process of implementing PPL in their school. They also showed PPL implementation products, such as teaching modules, student profiles, assessments, learning media, etc.
Furthermore, Natanael also said that this exhibition was a forum for sharing and evaluation.
“This exhibition is a forum for sharing. For Pre-service PPG Students Batch 1 of 2022 PBI FKIP UNS Study Program, they can share experiences from their schools, such as curriculum implementation, activities, etc. For exhibitors, they will get an idea of what the PPG PPL is like,” said Natanael.
Meanwhile, as a forum for evaluation, this exhibition provides an opportunity for Pre-service PPG Students Batch 1 of 2022 in the PBI FKIP UNS Study Program to receive criticism, suggestions, or additions from exhibitors. In this way, they will know what positive practices should be maintained, which should be improved, and which should be improved.
At the end of the interview session, Nathanael hoped that in the future, exhibitions like this could be held simultaneously by all PPG FKIP UNS students. Aside from being a forum for sharing and evaluation, exhibitions like this can be used as a platform to introduce PPG to the general public.
“Our exhibition activities are still in one study program. Therefore, we hope that one day there will be a large-scale exhibition that all PPG FKIP UNS students will attend. Aside from being a forum for sharing and evaluation, exhibitions like this can be a forum for introducing PPG to the general public,” hoped Natanael.
