Rektor UNS Kukuhkan Empat Guru Besar Baru, 2 Diantaranya dari FKIP UNS

FKIP – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta resmi mengukuhkan empat guru besar baru. Pengukuhan berlangsung dalam Sidang Senat Akademik Terbuka UNS, Selasa (23/5/2023). Acara pengukuhan guru besar bertempat di Auditorium G.P.H. Haryo Mataram UNS dan disiarkan langsung melalui Youtube Universitas Sebelas Maret. Keempat guru besar yang dikukuhkan tersebut adalah Prof. Agung Nur Probohudono, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA, CFrA., Prof. Dr. Sri Widoretno, M.Si., Prof. Dr. Ir. Eka Handayanta, M.P., IPU., ASEAN Eng., dan Prof. Dr. Cicilia Dyah Sulistyaningrum Indrawati, M.Pd.

Dua diantara keempat guru besar tersebut berasal dari Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) UNS. Guru besar pertama yang berasal dari FKIP UNS adalah Prof. Dr. Sri Widoretno, M.Si. Ia merupakan Guru Besar ke-66 FKIP UNS dan ke-261 UNS. Ia merupakan Guru Besar dalam Bidang Pendidikan Biologi dengan pidato pengukuhan berjudul “Pertanyaaan Guru Dalam Membangun Peta Konsep Sebagai Indikator Berpikir Tinggi”. 

Guru besar yang kedua dari FKIP UNS adalah Prof. Dr. Cicilia Dyah Sulistyaningrum Indrawati, M.Pd. Ia merupakan Guru Besar ke-67 FKIP dan ke-263 UNS. Ia diangkat menjadi Guru Besar dalam Bidang Ilmu Pendidikan Kearsipan dengan pidato pengukuhan berjudul “Pengembangan Keterampilan Inovasi Kearsipan Pada Era Literasi Abad XXI”.

Rektor UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. menyampaikan bahwa pengukuhan Guru Besar UNS ini merupakan kado manis untuk UNS.

“Penambahan beberapa guru besar ini jelas semakin memantapkan optimisme baru UNS untuk mengejar target 10% jumlah profesornya. Apalagi UNS memiliki banyak dosen dengan jabatan Lektor Kepala, yang setidaknya berpotensi besar untuk menambah banyak jumlah guru besar,” ujar Prof. Jamal.

Prof. Jamal berpesan agar para guru besar terus produktif dan berkarya melalui kajian riset yang berkualitas agar dapat memberikan solusi strategis bagi penyelesaian problematika masyarakat dan meningkatkan indeks UNS di tingkat internasional.

“Saya berpesan bahwa guru besar yang dikukuhkan pada hari ini untuk dapat terus produktif berkarya melalui berbagai kajian riset yang berkualitas. Harapannya dari kajian dan riset tersebut dapat memberikan solusi strategis bagi penyelesaian problematika masyarakat, sekaligus dapat meningkatkan indeks UNS di tingkat internasional. Keberadaan guru besar harapannya dapat terus berkorelasi positif dengan kemajuan, wibawa atau marwah dan penentu kualitas perguruan tinggi yang dibangun,” tambah Prof. Jamal.

Lebih lanjut, Prof. Jamal turut berharap agar sejawat Guru Besar UNS jangan berubah menjadi santai atau loyo dan melempem setelah memperoleh jabatan guru besar. 

“Namun, jadilah guru besar yang produktif membimbing mahasiswa dan dosen juniornya, menulis buku, meneliti, menghasilkan karya ilmiah bereputasi, menghasilkan inovasi maupun teknologi yang bermutu, yang bermanfaat dan mengangkat harkat martabat dirinya, universitas, dan bangsa Indonesia,” harap Prof. Jamal.

UNS Chancellor Inaugurates Four New Professors, 2 of them from FKIP UNS

FKIP – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta officially inaugurated four new professors. The inauguration occurred at the UNS Open Academic Senate Session, Tuesday (23/5/2023). The Professor’s inauguration ceremony took place at the G.P.H. Auditorium Haryo Mataram UNS and was broadcast live on Sebelas Maret University Youtube. The four professors who were inaugurated were Prof. Agung Nur Probohudono, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., Ak., CA, CFrA., Prof. Dr. Sri Widoretno, M.Si., Prof. Dr. Ir. Eka Handayanta, M.P., IPU., ASEAN Eng., and Prof. Dr. Cicilia Dyah Sulistyaningrum Indrawati, M.Pd.

Two of the four professors are from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS. The first professor from FKIP UNS was Prof. Dr. Sri Widoretno, M.Sc. He is the 66th professor of FKIP UNS and the 261st UNS. He is a Professor in the Field of Biology Education with an inaugural speech entitled “Teacher’s Questions in Building Concept Maps as Higher Thinking Indicators”.

The second professor from FKIP UNS is Prof. Dr. Cicilia Dyah Sulistyaningrum Indrawati, M.Pd. He is the 67th Professor of FKIP and the 263rd UNS. He was appointed Professor in the Field of Archival Education with an inaugural speech entitled “Development of Archival Innovation Skills in the XXI Century Literacy Era”.

UNS Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. said that the inauguration of UNS Professor was a sweet gift for UNS.

“The addition of several professors has strengthened UNS’ new optimism to pursue the target of 10% of the number of professors. Moreover, UNS has many lecturers with the position of Head Lector, who at least have great potential to increase the number of professors,” said Prof. Jamal.

Prof. Jamal advised professors to continue to be productive and work through quality research studies so that they can provide strategic solutions for solving societal problems and increasing the UNS index at the international level.

“I advised the professors who were inaugurated today to be able to continue to work productively through various quality research studies. The hope is that the study and research can provide strategic solutions to solving community problems and increasing the UNS index at the international level. Furthermore, it is hoped that the existence of professors can continue to positively correlate with progress, authority, or dignity and determine the quality of built higher education institutions,” added Prof. Jamal.

Furthermore, Prof. Jamal also hoped that UNS Professors would be more relaxed and active after getting the position of Professor.

“However, be a productive professor guiding students and junior lecturers, writing books, researching, producing reputable scientific works, producing quality innovations and technologies, which are useful and elevate the dignity of himself, the university, and the Indonesian people,” hoped Prof. Jamal.
