FKIP – Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI) Study Program Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Language and Literature Lecturers (ADOBSI) held an online Literacy Entrepreneur Festival via the Zoom Cloud Meeting application on Wednesday (28/7/2021).
This event was not only attended by internal study programs, but also by academics at several universities such as the Ternate, Kupang, and Palembang Teacher Training and Education Colleges. This event is the highlight of the Indonesian Language and Literature Studio course as well as a form of appreciation for the PBSI literacy entrepreneur group FKIP UNS. Meanwhile, the entrepreneurial groups engaged in the literacy sector include Selasa Podcast, Ruang Indonesia Bercerita, Literasik, Sunting Aksara, Kanal Literasi, Narasi Budaya, dan Noura Pedagogia.
PBSI FKIP UNS lecturer and literacy entrepreneur, Chafit Ulya, M.Pd. said that the profile of literacy entrepreneurship graduates for PBSI students had a smaller percentage than the profiles of other graduates such as teachers, journalists, editors, and broadcasters. However, this is not a drawback but an alternative that needs to be pursued so that students are able to increase their potential so that they have the competence to become entrepreneurs in the field of Indonesian language and literature.
“Entrepreneurial literacy competence is an alternative, an effort to increase and optimize the potential of our students so that it will become a selling point that can be considered,” he said.

Furthermore, Chafit hopes that the Literacy Entrepreneur Festival will be able to promote it to the wider community so that the echoes of the literacy entrepreneurial projects that are carried out can develop and be better known.
“This peak activity is a kind of giving appreciation to the group that has struggled extra hard for the past semester, as well as disseminating and giving what I have done to several other study programs so that the spirit of developing literacy entrepreneurs will develop in various universities,” he said
This festival was filled with various activities such as delivering material from speakers, question and answer discussion, distribution of door prizes, and ended with the announcement of competitions that were participated by seven literacy entrepreneur groups. Meanwhile, the nominations for the competition include the best profile video, best website, best social media, favorite Youtube, best managerial, favorite video, favorite group, and group appreciation.
