The selection of Tourism Ambassadors was the selection of regional sons and daughters in the tourism sector which is held annually with certain provisions by the Regional Tourism Office with various series of selections. Nina said her reason for participating in the Jepara Regency Tourism Ambassador Selection event when interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Sunday (25/1/2022). She stated that it was inspired by his thesis research.

“Starting from thesis research that has been carried out since May 2021 in Petekeyan Village, Jepara Regency. There they took the theme of a woman who has the ability to carve and then saw another side of Jepara. So much tourism potential from history, cultural nature reserves, and others. Alhamdulillah, from the research, is believed to join the management of the Jepara or tourist village whose chairman is a resident of Peteyekan. After that, there was an opening for the selection of Mas Mbak Jepara. It feels dissatisfied if you want to develop tourism but don’t join. Finally, following the selection from registration to the grand final,” said Nina.

Before being named the second winner of the Jepara Tourism Ambassador, Nina followed various processes.

“Participants were screened at the interview stage, 30 participants were taken, 15 were male, 15 female. All attended the briefing for quarantine at Sekuro Village Jepara for two days. There, various materials and resource persons were brought in. Starting from public speaking, sapta enchantment, leadership, to cat walk. Entering the grand final, the best ten are taken to get questions from the jury. After that, the best three were taken again, there were several categories of championships including 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, hope, intelligence, and favorites,” explained Nina.

On this occasion, Nina was entrusted with the role of secretary in the Mas Mbak Duta Wisata Jepara 2021 community.

In the end, Nina said that the contribution she wanted to make during her tenure became the second winner of Mbak Duta Wisata Jepara.

“The contribution that I can give is, of course, active and creative as possible to introduce and develop Jepara tourism with community friends so that not only carving is known to the wider community, but also has an interesting side that is suitable to visit. We are grateful to be able to become a role model for other regional tourism to implement the same thing in advancing local tourist destinations,” Nina concluded.
